Bust with Braid

So this piece has been taking a lot longer than originally anticipated. 

I'm almost done with it. 

This is the first bust i've done with, well, bust.

Drawing Machine mark II

A little background:

Freshman year i made a small contraption that made scribbles on paper. I was truly fascinated by this. It was rather basic; pretty much a pen tied to a small electric motor.

Well, I've decided to make a second version of this device. One with a broader range of motion. I have not decided what will determine the motion of the drawing tool, but it will most likely be something that has random movement.

This will serve as a model for something bigger. Well, at least that's the plan.

Faux Finish

This is how the pieces eventually end up looking.

The goal here is to make it look like metal. 

Oh yeah, ignore the Christmas tablecloth.

This time though I'm going to give it straight hair. Flowing, maybe it'll go down to the base. Also, I might attempt to put some sort of clothing. Like a low cut ruffly collar thingy. Should be good.
